Teens Shot During Robbery Outside Miami-Dade Pizza Restaurant
1 teenager was shot Monday and another was grazed by a bullet as they tried to get away from their attackers in southwest Miami-Dade County.

MIAMI, FL — One teenager was shot Monday and another was grazed by a bullet when they tried to get away from their attackers during an armed robbery in the parking lot of Frankie's Pizza in southwest Miami-Dade County, police said. The business was closed at the time.
Detective Argemis Colome of the Miami-Dade Police Department said the incident happened around 1:55 p.m. at 9118 SW 40 Street as the two teens were sitting in a tan Lexus.
"The subjects drove up to the victim’s vehicle in a black SUV, exited the car and approached the victims on foot," Colome said. "The subjects demanded property from the victims, and a verbal altercation ensued. One of the subjects brandished a firearm, and as the victims tried to drive away, shots were fired at the vehicle."

Colome said the teen who was driving was grazed in the face while the other teen was shot in his lower body.
"The victims drove to Kendall Regional Medical Center where they were treated by medical staff," Colome explained. "The driver was treated and released, and the passenger is listed in stable condition. The subjects fled the scene and remain at large."

Police did not immediately identify the victims, but said one of them is 18 and the other is 19. The two attackers were believed to be 18 to 20 years of age.
