Three Teenage Girls Charged With Murder
When Miami-Dade police found 49-year-old Tony Conway on Wednesday afternoon, he lay bleeding in the fetal position.

MIAMI, FL — When Miami-Dade police found 49-year-old Tony Conway on Wednesday afternoon, he lay bleeding in the fetal position outside his NW 103 Street apartment. By then, it was already too late to save him and Conway was pronounced dead in the common area where he collapsed trying to get help. Perhaps most unusual about Conway's death is that police now believe he was killed by three 16-year-old girls.
"The investigation revealed that three subjects entered Mr. Conway's apartment while he was away and waited for his return," according to Detective Lee Cowart of the Miami-Dade Police Department. "Once he entered his apartment, he was robbed and shot in the stomach"
Police said that the three girls were all invited to Conway's apartment and together they plotted to rob him.

The teenagers, whose names are being withheld by Patch because of their ages, were each charged on Thursday with first-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm. Police believe they had help from a male suspect, who has not yet been identified.
The teens were later detained by Miami-Dade detectives as they were driving in a black Audi Q7. Police said they recovered two guns.
