1. Wynwood Walls has revealed its 2021 theme as "Agents Of Change." Jessica Goldman Srebnick, CEO of Goldman Global Arts and Curator of Wynwood Walls says the theme gives "the curators and the artists the chance to discuss things that are important to them while also staying true to the time that they are living in." Artists featured include AIKO, Diogo “Addfuel” Machado, Scott Froschauer, Joe Iurato, and more. (Miami Today)

2. One of the first Black Floridians elected to Congress since Reconstruction died on Sunday. Former Rep. Carrie Meek died at 95 years old and was 66 when she won the 1992 Democratic primary for her Miami-Dade County district. Meek was the grandchild of a slave, a sharecropper’s daughter, and known for her strong liberal opinions. (WSVN)

3. Authorities are investigating after a person was struck and killed by a train in Oakland Park Monday morning. The incident happened near the Florida East Coast Railway and South Commercial Boulevard. (NBC Miami)

4. Florida welcomed 32.5 million travelers in the third quarter of 2021, a nearly 7% increase from the same period in 2019. 1.2 million overseas visitors came to Florida as well, and 85,000 from Canada between July and September as borders reopened. Governor Ron DeSantis credits Florida remaining open during the summer despite a pandemic virus surge from the Delta variant. (Florida Patch)

5. Scooters are back: The Miami City Commission has voted to reinstate the program of motorized scooters with strict new safety rules. The change happens less than two weeks after Miami voted to end a pilot program, citing safety concerns. (CBS Miami)
