1. Veteran's Day: There are numerous businesses, restaurants and entertainment venues offer freebies or discounts to veterans in honor of Veterans Day. State parks, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Outback Steakhouse, and Red Lobster are just a few of the spots participating. (Patch Tampa)

2. Police arrested a suspect wanted for attempted sexual battery on a Canadian tourist in Miami Beach. The attack happened around 4:30 a.m. on Monday and was captured on surveillance cameras. 31-year-old Kyandre Johnson is now charged with attempted sexual battery and false imprisonment. (WSVN)

3. South Florida resident and Trump ally Roger Stone has threatened to run against Governor Ron DeSantis in Florida's 2022 gubernatorial race if DeSantis doesn't pledge to serve his full second term if re-elected. Stone also warned DeSantis against eyeing a White House bid. Stone was convicted in the past of 7 felony charges brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller as part of the Russia investigation. Trump commuted Roger Stone's sentence in July 2020. (Miami Patch)

4. The Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach may be opening a 7,000 square-foot Holocaust Learning Center in the next 5 years. A November 2nd referendum vote showed that the majority of residents favor its construction and an extension of the current lease. The pandemic brought challenges to the Holocaust Memorial without class trips. (Miami Today)

5. Tortuga Music Festival returns to Fort Lauderdale Beach this weekend and will have a heavy law enforcement and security presence. City officials are concerned about what occurred at Astroworld Festival and want to avoid anything similar. (CBS Miami)
