1. Attorneys for the suspect in the 2018 Parkland killing of 17 people have filed an emergency motion to delay his trial on a battery charge, set to start this week. The suspect, Nicholas Cruz, attacked a Broward County jail guard nine months after the shootings in Parkland, according to police. No date has been set for the murder trial. (WSVN)

2. Two Fort Lauderdale Police officers were injured while responding to a large fight at Dillard High School Monday, officials said. The school district says anyone involved will be disciplined. (NBC Miami)
3. Two Republican Florida lawmakers are seeking to exempt churches in the state from future emergency orders. They said the proposal would, "prevent government from infringing on the rights of Floridians in the years to come, even in times of uncertainty and crisis." (Orlando Weekly)
4. Students at University of Miami are complaining about the “unreliableness” of “CaneNet Wireless,” the student Wi-Fi network across UM campus. The unreliable internet is disrupting classes and also the day-to-day life of students connected to the network. (The Miami Hurricane)
5. A man was bitten by a shark on Sunday at Jensen Beach Park. Lifeguards in South Florida are urging people to be extra vigilant. (CBS Miami)
