1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured In State Road 50 Crash: FL Holiday Patrol
A passenger was killed in a Sunday afternoon crash at State Road 50 and U.S. 301 in Hernando County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
HERNANDO COUNTY, FL — A woman was killed in a Sunday afternoon crash involving a tractor-trailer truck on State Road 50, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
A 72-year-old Nobleton man was driving his car east on SR-50 when he turned left into the path of the truck, driven by a 66-year-old Iowa man, at the intersection of U.S. 301 just before 2 p.m.
The car’s driver was seriously injured in the crash and brought to a local hospital.

His passenger, an 86-year-old Bushnell woman, was killed in the crash, FHP said.
The truck’s driver was uninjured.
