The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has arrested Tyler Lesher, 18, and charged him with homicide following the fatal shooting.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Tyler Lesher, 18, and charged him with homicide and delinquent in possession of a firearm following the death of a man Friday in the Laredo Drive area of Bayonet Point.
Lesher was previously arrested for felony battery on a law enforcement officer in Oct. 2022, which resulted in the additional charge of delinquent in possession of a firearm.
Detectives were called to the Laredo Drive area around 9:15 a.m. and found a man who had been shot and killed. Witnesses only heard a single shot during the incident but the investigation showed that Lesher and the dead man had gotten into a verbal argument before the man was shot.
