2 Grow House Busts Net 4 Arrests

Pasco deputies searched two different West Pasco homes Friday and found hundreds of marijuana plants growing.

Two West Pasco marijuana grow houses are out of business today after sheriff's deputies executed search warrants on Friday.

The first set of arrests came following a search of a house at 9602 Richwood Drive in Port Richey Friday and found marijuana plants and processed marijuana.

More than 40 pounds of product packaged for distribution was contained in the house, according to deputies, in addition to more than 25 pounds of marijuana plants.

Deputies also searched a house at 3737 Topsail Trail in Gulf Harbors on Friday and found growing marijuana plants and processed marijuana there. There were 212 marijuana plants growing at the house and processed marijuana

Four men were arrested Friday and accused of growing or dealing marijuana. Three of them were charged in connection to the Richwood Lane house and one was charged in connection to the Topsail Trail house. It was not immediately clear if the cases wee connected.

Arrested in connection to the Richwood grow house were: Pedro Gonzalez, who shares an address with the house; Yeramis Perez Chinea, of 4121 Perry Place, New Port Richey; and Jose Enrique Perez, 44, of 7301 Morris Drive, Port Richey.

Arrested in connection with the Topsail Trail case was Jairo Jose Pla-Cuz who shares an address with the grow house. He told deputies he was sole caretaker of the Topsail house.

All but one of the four men remained in the Land O’ Lakes jail Monday afternoon.

Gonzalez was charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver. He was behind bars in lieu of  $60,000 bond.

Chinea was charged with cultivation and trafficking of marijuana and was released Monday on $5,000 bond.

Perez was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, cultivation of marijuana and trafficking marijuana. He is in jail in lieu of $40,000 bond.

Pla-Cuz was charged with trafficking in marijuana, cultivating marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, theft from a utility and another drug-trelated charge. His bond is $66,000.
