Our feature listing noteworthy things you should know is back, but we're switching things up.

1. Bringing your umbrella to work today could be a good idea. It’ll likely rain, according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with temperatures reaching a high near 85.
2. Readers who have followed our site since around our lauch will have notixed we no longer post “5 Things You Should Know Today” every day. To make the feature more meaningful and save time, we have decided to run it when it makes the most sense and when there are especially noteworthy things to say and particularly fun things to know about. 3. Registration has opened for the Coteeman Triathlon, the annual everyman’s (and everywoman’s) race that raises money for Greater New Port Richey Main Street. You can find out more about the triathlon, which is August 11 in New Port Richey, at the Coteeman website, and stay tuned to Patch for articles about it soon.
4. Mark your Calendar: The Pasco County (Roller)Derby Dollz are holding a low-cost Wash ‘N’ Roll carwash on Ridge Road in Port Richey on Saturday at 10 am on 6136 Ridge Road, Port Richey. The Derby Dollz are requesting a minimum $5 donation.
