
A felon has been arrested in connection to a July home invasion in which a 57-year-old man was beaten with a crow bar, but one suspect is still at large, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a Sheriff's Office report, two masked suspects broke into a home on the 4500 block of Flora Ave. in Holiday at 1:40 a.m. July 10, 2011. They got in through a window on the back door and entered a bedroom where a man was sleeping.
The man was woken up, and his hands were bound behind his back with tape. One suspect beat the man on the head and torso with a crowbar, and the other opened the man’s safe.

More than $20,000 worth of items was taken, including: jewelry, guns, a collection of $2 bills and a European coin collection. The beaten man was taken to a hospital.
Over the course of the investigation, authorities received an anonymous tip that David Hodierne, who was on probation, had committed a home invasion robbery in Holiday and had the stolen items in a safe in his living room. A search warrant was issued, and the items were recovered.

According to witnesses, Hodierne and the victim frequented the same bar, the victim’s roommate had bragged about the victim’s belongings and that the victim was at the bar the night of the crime.
Hodierne, 26, of 7414 Ingleside Drive in Port Richey, was already in the Land O' Lakes jail on a different charge when he was arrested April 26 and charged with home invasion robbery with a weapon. His bail will cost $150,000, The other suspect is still at large, according to Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Kevin Doll.
Still missing are a chrome Colt .45 with a wood handle (model 1911), a stainless steel Colt .45 with a rattlesnake handle with gold inlay (model 1911), and a Smith and Wesson MP9 17 shot with laser sights.
