Bicyclist, 49, Killed In U.S. 19 Crash
A Holiday man faces DUI charges following the Sunday night death of a bicyclist from St. Petersburg.

HUDSON, FL — A 49-year-old man from St. Petersburg is dead following a crash on U.S. 19 near Hudson Avenue Sunday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ali Hazime, 25, of Holiday was heading south on U.S. 19 in the center lane just after 10 p.m. April 16. As Hazime’s Ford Explorer neared the intersection of Hudson Avenue, troopers say Grady Miles crossed U.S. 19 north of Hudson Avenue on a bicycle.

Miles, a highway patrol report said, rode his bicycle into Hazime’s path, resulting in a collision. Miles was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hazime, the report said, was later arrested on a DUI charge for “drugs/marijuana.”
