Brush Fire Cancels Events At Arthur Engle Park
A Tuesday afternoon brush fire in Hudson is causing some disruptions in the area.

HUDSON, FL — Residents with plans to visit Hudson’s Arthur Engle Memorial Park for Tuesday night athletic events are being asked to steer clear. That’s because an active brush fire is burning south of Denton Avenue, east of Coyote Road.
According to Pasco County Fire Rescue officials, the fire only covers an estimated 3 acres, but “is being pushed northeast by gusty winds.” People who live along Renee Lane and Kitten Trail are advised that flames are not threatening homes at this time, but they should be aware the fire is burning in the area.
As firefighters work to extinguish the blaze, vehicles have been lined up on Coyote Road, between Kitten Trail and Denton Avenue. “Pasco County Emergency Services is asking residents to avoid using that part of Coyote Road to give emergency crews better access,” a Tuesday email from the county said.
