Child Wandering Onto Alt. 19 Leads to Adult's Arrest

A man was accused of child neglect after a 3-year-old boy wandered out onto Alt.  U.S. 19 in Holiday.

On Sunday, Delron Wallace, 22, failed to provide proper supervision for the boy, according to a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrest report. The boy wandered out of a home, which has a backyard 60 feet from Alt. 19.    

Wallace, of 4305 Resort Loop, Holiday,  had been entrusted to care for some children by their biological mother while she was at work, according to deputies.

He said he didn't know the children left the home.

Wallace's relationship to the children was not disclosed.

He was arrested Sunday and remained in the Land O' Lakes Jail Tuesday morning in lieu of $500 bail.
