Qualifying paperwork for the city election can now be picked up from City Clerk Doreen Summers. Her office is at City Hall, 5919 Main St, New Port Richey.

Completed paperwork must be submitted to the city clerk by the close of the qualifying period, which is Feb. 19 at noon.

City council members are elected to a three-year term.

The seats open for election are currently held by incumbent council members whose three year-terms end this April. Those council members are Deputy Mayor Rob Marlowe and Councilman Bob Langford. Langford and Marlowe do not plan to run in this election.
