Letter: Thanks for Coverage of the Rec Center

I would like to thank Alex Tiegen, editor of New Port Richey Patch, for his support of the New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center. Alex allowed me to write an article about a shortfall in the center’s upcoming summer camp registration. Through the publicity his online publication has brought to the needs of the center, the program’s enrollment has jumped. Additionally, Alex wrote an excellent article in advance of the center’s fifth anniversary celebration which was held on May 19. In his article ,Alex mentioned not only the summer camp program, but the center’s efforts to attract more members.

Alex and his staff have worked hard to make New Port Richey Patch an important part of West Pasco’s media. The local focus he has placed on events in and around our community has helped raise the profile of the city as a whole and the recreation center in particular.  Alex deserves our thanks for the good work he is doing to help increase awareness of the many affordable services available in West Pasco.
