Dump Pills At Saturday Drop-Offs

There several places in West and Central Pasco where you can rid yourself of pills this weekend.

Looking for a place to dump your unwanted pills?

There are several law enforcement organized drop offs this weekend where you can leave your medications. You can even drive up, dump the meds and leave with no questions asked.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and Port Richey Police Department are planning to host pill drop boxes on Saturday.

The Sheriff’s Office is hosting one in Crews Lake in conjunction with an Earth Day celebration, another at the Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel and the other at the Gulf View Square Mall in Port Richey. The Port Richey drop location will be in the Port Richey City Hall parking lot.  

The boxes at the malls are part of the National Take Back Day event in which law enforcement agencies collect pills to prevent them from finding their way onto the streets.

The schedules and locations of the Saturday drops are as follows:

  • Crews Lake Park (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

  • Vitamins & Herbals
  • Veterinary medications
  • Over-the-counter medications

Can’t Make it to the Saturday Pill Drop?

Never fear. You can stop at one of Pasco’s permanent pill drop locations. The Sheriff’s Office’s are located at road patrol stations at the following locations:

  • 34609 State Road 52, Dade City
  • 7432 Little Road, New Port Richey
  • 11530 Trinity Boulevard, Trinity

The New Port Richey Police Department has also recently set up a permanent pill drop box in its headquarters.
