Fire Rips Through Horsemen’s Association Buildings
Two buildings on the Pasco Horsemen's Association's property were declared a loss after a Monday fire.

HUDSON, FL — A Monday afternoon fire that broke out at the Pasco Horsemen’s Association led to a total loss of two buildings, but no injuries to people or animals.
According to Pasco County Fire Rescue, the blaze at 13215 Fivay Road complex was reported around 12:40 p.m. April 3. Initial reports were that the stables were on fire. When crews arrived, however, they found a storage building and announcer tower involved in flames, the agency reported in an email to media.

The fire was brought under control just before 1 p.m. Both structures, however, were deemed a total loss.
Division Chief Shawn Whited said no horses were on the property at the time the fire broke out. A cause for the blaze has not yet been announced.
