Girl, 13, Hit By Car After Getting Off School Bus: FL Highway Patrol
A 13-year-old Hudson girl was hit by a car while crossing a Pasco County street after getting off a school bus, FL Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A 13-year-old Hudson girl was hit by a car while crossing a street after getting off a Pasco County school bus Wednesday afternoon, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The crash happened at the intersection of Kodiak Avenue and East Road just after 3 p.m.
The bus, which was heading north, was stopped at the intersection and offloading students with its lights activated at the time of the crash, FHP said.

A car driven by a 59-year-old Port Richey man was traveling south on East Road at the same time.
The driver failed to stop by the bus and hit the girl, who was crossing the highway, FHP said.

The girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to a local hospital.
