Holiday Lake Estates Lives Up to Its Name

Nancy Thompson, a resident of Holiday Lake Estates, sent us some of her shots of flooding caused by Tropical Storm Debby on Sunday.

She writes of the first photo:

This was Holiday Lake Drive yesterday. Lake is right!!!

Of the second, she writes:

This was Dartmouth Drive yesterday, about half way down the street.  Our house is way down at the end and it flooded that far.

These are from behind our house.  The land that separated the canal from the lake is mostly all under water.  There was a 12 foot alligator swimming up the canal behind the house this morning.   One neighbor that had been here for 38 years said that he has never seen it flood this badly here before...referring to the street flooding.
