Holiday Man Arrested In Hit-And-Run

A 21-year-old man from Holiday faces charges following a Tuesday morning hit-and-run.

HOLIDAY, FL — A Tuesday morning hit-and-run on Grand Boulevard has resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old Holiday man.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Tyler Dylan Haslam was driving on Grand Boulevard around 12:30 a.m. March 14 when he lost control of his Toyota. Haslam’s vehicle struck ad utility pole near Chaparral Lane, a highway patrol report said.

After impact, troopers say Haslam bailed out of the car and tried to get away on foot. Authorities caught up with him a short time later and “deemed (him) to be impaired,” the report said.

Haslam was charged with DUI, DUI with property damage and leaving the scene of a crash. Troopers say Haslam was not injured in the crash.
