Inmate Now Accused of Child Porn Production

A Holiday man already in jail on an accusation of engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old boy has now been accused of producing child pornography.

Back in May, Dennis Machmer, 68, was arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious battery after a woman told a Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy she found a video on a computer of him engaging in sexual activity with the boy.  

Deputies looked through the man’s computer and found a video showing the man with his genitals exposed. It showed the man performing sex acts on the 15-year-old. It also shows him taking pictures of the boy's genitals with his cell phone camera. 

In the following months, deputies looked over the files on the man’s computer, which has 500 gigabytes of memory. They charged him Wednesday with promoting sexual performance of a child.

Deputies say Machmer denied distributing the video file.

He remains in the Land O' Lakes jail in lieu of $110,000 bail. Deputies are continuing to investigate the case.
