Jersey Mike’s Giving Sales Proceeds To Charity

Tampa Bay area Jersey Mike's locations are gearing up for a one-day event that donates 100 percent of sales to charity.

Tampa Bay area residents who can’t imagine grabbing a sub unless it’s done up “Mike’s way” can feed their hunger on Wednesday while helping a charity in the process. All 30 Jersey Mike’s locations in the region, from New Port Richey down to Sarasota, are taking part in a one-day company event that provides 100 percent of sales proceeds to a nonprofit.

During Jersey Mike’s Wednesday, March 29, “Day of Giving” promotion, the company promises to give all sales to a region’s charity of choice. The event will take place throughout each local store’s normal hours, including lunch and dinnertime rushes.

Stores in the Tampa Bay area have selected High Risk Hope as their charity of choice. The Tampa-based nonprofit is dedicated to helping prolong high-risk pregnancies, according to its website. The organization provides support to women during pregnancy and while babies are in neonatal intensive care. It also offers bereavement support for families who have lost babies.

“Enjoy a sub to help a charity where you live,” the company wrote in an announcement. “The more you order, the more you give.”

The one-day event is the culmination of the sub chain’s seventh annual “Month of Giving” campaign. Last year’s event raised more than $4 million for local charities with Florida locations adding $445,000 to the tally.
