Man Accused of DUI, Kicking Pasco Deputy

Jason Sutton tried walking away from an arrest and then kicked a deputy in the face, according to authorities.

A man was arrested over the weekend and accused of DUI and kicking a Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy in the face. 

Jason Sutton was allegedly driving his vehicle while intoxicated before dawn Saturday, according to an arrest report by a Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Sutton at the intersection of Orange and Bonita Drives in Holiday.

Sutton, 33, refused breath, blood or urine tests to check his blood alcohol content. He then began to walk away and bowed his shoulders back and assumed a fighting posture, according to the report.

He was then arrested. While being placed in the rear of the patrol car, he kicked a Pasco Sheriff’s sergeant in the left cheek, according to the report.

Sutton, of 491 S Paula Dr. in Dunedin, was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, DUI and resisting arrest without violence. He was booked into the Land O’ Lakes Jail and then later released.
