Man Charged in Sexual Abuse of 7-Year-Old
The alleged sexual abuse happened in Holiday between June 1, 2009, and June 1, 2010.
An arrest has been made in connection to the sexual abuse of a 7-year-old girl in Holiday.
Tyreik Laron Rooks, 35, was extradited on a Pasco County warrant from Glenwood Springs, Colo., and booked into the Land O’ Lakes jail.
On Wednesday, he was charged with involuntary sexual battery by an adult on a child 12 years old or younger.

The alleged abuse happened in Holiday between June 1, 2009, and June 1, 2010, according to a complaint affidavit. The girl was 7 at the time.
The Pasco Kids First Child Protection Team conducted a forensic interview with the victim, and the resultant findings supported an allegation of sexual abuse.

Rooks remained in jail Thursday on the involuntary sexual battery charge with no bond set.
The relationship between the girl and Rooks has not been disclosed.
