Man Stole $100 Outback Gift Card, Other Cards, Deputies Say

Paul Savarese could have treated himself to at least one full-course meal using the bundle of gift cards he is accused of stealing.
Savarese allegedly broke into a home in the 7000 block of Carmel Ave. in the New Port Richey area in the pre-dawn hours of Jan. 1, according to an arrest report from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
Two adults and two children live at the home.

Savarese found a purse in the home and took a $100 gift card to Outback Steakhouse, a $30 gift card to Cold Stone Creamery, a $10 gift card to Burger King, a $10 gift card to Subway and a small amount of cash, according to an arrest report.
Pasco County Sheriffy’s deputies arrested Savarese, 25, on Saturday and charged him with burglary of an occupied dwelling and resisting arrest without violence. Savarese, of 7112 Jenner Ave., was booked into the Land O’ Lakes Jail and remained there Monday in lieu of $10,150 bail.
