Motorcyclist Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash On I-75 In Pasco: FL Troopers

A motorcyclist died Tuesday night after hitting two SUVs on Interstate 75 in Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in Pasco County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The motorcyclist, a 62-year-old New Port Richey man, was heading north on I-75 in the outside lane north of County Road 54 around 7:40 p.m.

He overtook and hit an SUV that was stopped ahead of him in the outside lane and went on to hit another SUV that merged into the outside lane, FHP said.

The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The SUV drivers, a 39-year-old Zephyrhills woman and a 34-year-old Wesley Chapel man, were uninjured in the crash.

The passengers in the third SUV, a 36-year-old woman, a 8-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl, all of Wesley Chapel, were also uninjured.
