Motorcyclist Killed In DUI Crash In Pasco County: FL Highway Patrol
A DUI driver was arrested after turning into the path of a motorcyclist Thursday evening in Pasco County, FL Highway Patrol said.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — An SUV driver is accused of driving under the influence in a Thursday evening Pasco County crash that killed a 26-year-old motorcyclist from Largo, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The SUV driven by William Edward Ricks, 72, of Lutz was heading south on U.S. 41 when he turned into the motorcycle’s path at the intersection of Lake Floyd Drive around 6:30 p.m., FHP said.
The two vehicles crashed at the intersection.

The motorcyclist was brought to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Troopers determined that Ricks was impaired and arrested him on a DUI manslaughter charge.
