New Port Richey Woman Injured in Crash

Debra Tyler was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

A New Port Richey woman was seriously injured in a crash Wednesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Debra Tyler, 59, was driving a 2000 Kia Sportage southbound in the middle lane of U.S. 19 in the Hudson area Tuesday when a 1998 Chevy Lumina made a left turn from Sunny Drive onto U.S. 19.

The Lumina, driven by Zachary Frein of Hudson, traveled into the Kia’s path. The Sportage hit the Kia, and the Kia overturned twice. The rear of the Sportage hit the front bumper of a 2000 Ford Windstar, which was driven by Anthony Damiano, of Lecanto, Fla.,  before coming to rest.
