A part of State Road 54 in the New Port Richey area is being closed down due to rising flood waters, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. Kevin Doll, spokesman for the Pasco Sheriff's Office said in email that "Water on the road is at least 14 inches deep and conditions are worsening." The road be closed from Old Mill Pond Drive to Celtic Drive. "Detours will be at Old Mill Pond Drive for those heading west, and Thys Road or Madison Road for those heading east," Doll wrote.
