Pharmboy Creator Marketing Film
Lawrence Feeney is looking for folks interested in picking up his film Pharmboy, an he's released a trailer.

Trinity resident Lawrence Feeney filmed a movie called Pharmboy in Pasco County last year and showed it to the public.
Now, he has released a trailer of the film, which tells the tale of a boy born addicted to prescription. We want to see what you think of it. He posted to Vimeo and you can find it on its Vimeo page.
Feeney, president of Pasco Films, is an independent filmmaker, and he wrote, cast, produced and directed the film himself and also got some producers to help fund it. He also received a county grant. In addition, he took to “crowdfunding” platform Indiegogo to raise money for the film and raised more than $3,000 for the project.

He pledged to donate funds from the premiere, which was Dec. 3, to Friends of NPR Library, Greater NPR Main Street, Chasco Fiesta and Cotee River Bike Fest. He also said that if there are profits from the film, he would donate a portion to those groups.
Feeney finished up continued editing work on the film last week. He has contacted distribution companies in hopes of finding one interested in picking up the film. He’s eyeing festivals to show the film at, too, and he thinks that'll be the best opportunity to get the film exposure.

“We have had contact with several people in distribution and "screeners" have been made available for them to review,” he said. “However, the best opportunity we have to get the film to a broader market is through the festival circuit where the people involved in marketing and distribution can see the film with an audience. The Audience, to me, will be the key component to moving forward. So, the focus right now is getting 'Pharmboy' into its first festival (which we should know within the next week to ten days).”
He said he has made his first donaton of monies to Friends of NPR Library, Greater NPR Main Street, Chasco Fiesta and Cotee River Bike Fest.
