Student Arrested at Anclote High

The teen set a fire in a classroom trash can and handed over a knife when confronted by administrators.

A 17-year old student at Anclote High School was arrested on campus Friday, Dec. 2, and charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds, according to a Pasco County complaint affidavit.

Administrators were called into a classroom because the teen had set a piece of paper on fire and thrown it into a trash can, the report stated.

The teen told administrators when they arrived that "he had something on him he shouldn't have," according to the report. He then reached into his back pocket and handed over a butterfly knife, the report stated.
