Tampa Teen. 17, Killed In Pasco County Crash: FL Highway Patrol
A teenage driver was killed and his passenger, a 16-year-old boy, was seriously injured in a Thursday night crash in Pasco, FHP said.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A 17-year-old Tampa teen was killed and his passenger, a 16 year-old Tampa boy, was seriously injured Thursday night in a Pasco County crash, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The teen was driving a car south on U.S. 41 north of Little Lake Road just before 11 p.m.

Around that time, a 45-year-old Spring Hill man heading north on U.S. 41 tried to overtake and pass traffic, FHP said.
The teen swerved to the shoulder to avoid a collision and hit a concrete culvert parallel to the road.

His car overturned several times and he was thrown to the road, suffering fatal injuries.
His passenger was also seriously injured in the crash, FHP said.
