Tesla Driver Dies After Fiery Head-On Crash In Pasco: FL Troopers
The other driver involved in the Monday morning crash on State Road 54 in Pasco County was also seriously injured, FL Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A Tesla Model 3 driver died after a fiery head-on crash Monday morning in Pasco County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The Tesla, driven by a 42-year-old Palm Harbor man, was heading east on State Road 54 at the same time a 19-year-old woman was heading west on the same road just before 8 a.m.
When the woman was unable to negotiate a curve in the road west of Heron Cove Drive, her car entered the grass median and overturned, FHP said.

After her car left the median, it hit the Tesla head-on. Both vehicles came to a stop in the eastbound travel lanes.
The car erupted in flames after the crash, FHP said.

Both drivers, who were seriously injured, were brought to area hospitals. The Tesla driver later died from his injuries.
