Toothache Drove Man To Leave Kids Home Alone: Sheriff
A New Port Richey man is accused of leaving two small children home alone while he went to a hospital to get a 'tooth ailment' checked out.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 36-year-old New Port Richey man who went to the hospital Tuesday morning to get a toothache checked out found himself behind bars instead. The man is accused of leaving two small children home alone in the early morning hours so he could seek medical care.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Isaac Tony Danyluk went to North Bay Hospital in the early morning hours of April 18 seeking help for a “tooth ailment.” Danyluk, an arrest report said, told hospital staff he needed to leave by 5:30 a.m. “because he had two young children at the house.”

Hospital workers reportedly told Danyluk his best bet was to return home, the report said. After Danyluk left, the hospital notified the sheriff’s office.
A deputy went to Danyluk’s home to investigate the hospital’s complaint. Danyluk told the deputy “he was at the hospital for treatment of his toothache and that he had no other option but to leave (the) children sleeping in the house,” the report said.

Danyluk is accused of leaving a 3-year-old and 5-year-old “without the care and supervision that a prudent person would feel is essential for the well-being of the children,” the report added.
Danyluk was brought into custody on two counts of child neglect and booked into the Pasco County Jail early Tuesday morning. He was later released in lieu of $10,000 bond, jail records indicate.
It is unclear who took custody of the children following Danyluk’s arrest.
