Karen Dalton, president and co-founder of the Miles for Foundation and chairwoman for the WLP program, said the award is designed to both reward ongoing achievement and to create the incentive for greater success in the future.
“With the Community Leadership Award, we showcase individual excellence in leadership as demonstrated by outstanding initiative, impact of work, and inspiration to others,” said Dalton. “We try to encourage further work on the part of the recipients, and hope to motivate others to follow their lead in service to the Tampa Bay communities.”
