Voluntary Evacuation Assistance Available in Flooded Area

Pasco County is offering services to residents who need to get out of their community.

Flooding continues in an area from Thys Road in the south to Plathe Road in the north between Little and Rowan Roads, so Pasco County is launching  a voluntary evacuation operation.

Call 9-1-1  if you need help getting out and want to coordinate with the county.

Public buses will be avaialable for transport to shelter. A staging area with emergency services has been set up at the Walmart at State Road 54 and Little Road.

According to Eric Keaton from the county:


Communities affected by the rising flood waters include Seven Springs Trailer Park, Mill Pond Estates and the surrounding housing developments. Rains from Tropical Storm Debby have caused flooding above the 100 year flood level. The Anclote and Cotee Rivers are above flood stage.
