She brought family to help fill bags to protect her home, and the spot was visited by others getting ready for Tropical Storm Isaac's impact on the region.

Folks came out in droves to collect sand to bag at government facilities in the New Port Richey area. The Tampa Bay area may see a storm surge and heavy rain wrought by Isaac, even if it doesn’t experience a direct hit.

After going to the New Port Richey spot, See went to the Public Works department area in the , where the county is offering sand for residents. She wanted to help get sand for her sister-in-law, who doesn’t live in the city.

During Debby, flooding was so bad on Pennsylvania Ave., where See lives, that, she and her family "couldn’t even get down the street in our truck,” she said. Water flooded into the home, she said.
