The community came together to clean up the Hacienda Hote lin New Port Richey earlier this month. It looks great. So now what? The Hacienda opened for business as a hotel in 1927. It eventually was used as an assisted living facility. The city CRA bought the Hacienda in the early years of last decade, and the building has been vacant since 2006. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. He city spent years negotiating on the redevelopment of the Hacienda with firm Community Development Partners. The city council voted last in December to end its relationship with CDP. Now, city leaders are faced with finding a direction for the property. We want to know what residents and the community want to see happen at the property.
