Will Wiregrass Sports Complex Benefit West Pasco?

Pasco County's largest sports complex would not be in West Pasco. Do you think it could still help our area?

County officials are trying to reach a deal to secure Pasco’s largest sports complex. They are using the county’s bounty of tourism revenue to lure it here in hopes of attracting the tourist dollars that athletic events generate.

The catch: By “here,” I mean Pasco County, but not west Pasco.

If negotiations succeed, plans are to build the complex at Wiregrass Ranch, in central Pasco. Some readers have expressed concerns about tourist tax dollars from around the county being used to draw people to a sports complex in central Pasco.
