Woman, 49, Killed In State Road 52 Crash
A 49-year-old woman died following a motorcycle crash on State Road 52 Sunday.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a Sunday motorcycle crash on State Road 52 that left a 49-year-old Spring Hill woman dead.
According to the patrol, Anthony Joseph Pilotti, 44, of Spring Hill was heading eastbound on State Road 52 just before 5 p.m. April 9 on a Yamaha motorcycles. As Pilotti and his passenger, Holly Starcia Rich, approached the intersection with Moon Lake Road, troopers say Pilotti failed to negotiate a curve.

The Yamaha, troopers say, hit the raised center median. Both Pilotti and Rich were ejected from the bike.
Rich was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a highway patrol report. Pilotti was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. Neither rider was wearing a helmet, the patrol’s report noted.

Alcohol is not a suspected factor in the crash, the agency’s report said.
Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation. No further information is available at this time.
