Woman Bites 'Piece of Meat' Off Purse Snatcher
The man is accused of robbery after he took a handbag containing about 70 Roxicodone pills and a ticket from North Carolina.

An offer for a ride home from a bar turned ugly for a New Port Richey woman Friday night, when one of the three men she rode with tried to snatch her purse.
According to a Pasco County incident report, the woman and a friend were at The Overtime Bar and Grill in Hudson when they accepted a ride home from three men. Once they arrived at the woman's home in New Port Richey, her friend went inside while she remained at the vehicle talking to the men. When she turned to go in, Mason Stevenson, 19, grabbed the woman's purse, according to a report. The two engaged in a struggle, and according to the report, the woman bit Stevenson on the hand, taking a "piece of meat" off of it.
After Stevenson pulled the straps off the purse, the woman "jumped on top of the veheicle and the driver hit the gas to get away," the report stated. The woman fell to the ground, receiving "multiple abrasions and lacerations," according to the report.

The men got away with her purse, which contained $300 in cash, between 60 and 70 Roxicodone pills, her driver's license and a ticket from North Carolina, the report stated.
On Aug. 21, a Pasco County Sheriff's deputy traveled to Paintsville, Ky., and made contact with Stevenson. He was extradited back to Pasco County and charged with robbery by sudden snatch.
