Depression Causes U.S. 19 Lane Closing

Motorists are being asked to exercise caution on a stretch of U.S. 19 in the Palm Harbor area.

PALM HARBOR, FL — Pinellas County utility crews are assessing a depression that opened up along U.S. 19 Tuesday afternoon.

According to Pinellas County, a sewer main break in the area of U.S. 19’s eastern most lane, north of Curlew Road, caused a depression to open. The lane will remain closed until further notice.

“Drivers in the area are advised to allow a one-lane clearance to the closed lane as a safety precaution,” the county wrote in an email to media. “Access to businesses in the area of the work will still be available from U.S. 19 and Curlew Road.”
