Two Dead, One Hurt in Sunday Crash
A Volvo struck a Dodge Caravan in the early morning accident. Two people died at the crash scene.
Two people died and one person was critically hurt in a two-vehicle accident early Sunday on Proctor Road.
Curtis Wayne Shulla, 47, of Sarasota and Ardell Daniell II, 30, of North Port died at the scene, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Barbara Anne Shulla, 44, is in critical condition at Blake Memorial Hospital.

Daniel’s 2011 Volvo S40 was traveling east on Proctor Road, approaching Hunters Run, when it crossed in to the westbound lane and hit Shulla’s 1996 Dodge Caravan.
The accident happened near Falcon Place at about 6:15 a.m.

The crash pushed the Caravan on to the grassy shoulder of Proctor Road, facing southbound, police said.
Daniel was not wearing his seatbelt, according to the report.
