Adoptable Dog of the Week: Tara

Sarasota Patch and the know there are dog and cat lovers out there, so to help out both, we're bringing you an adoptable dog and cat of each week.

Saturday, we shown you — an adoptable cat who needs a home.

Today, it's a pooch's turn. Tara, an Australian Cattle Dog mix is this week's adoptable dog.

She's two years old and weighs less than 50 pounds. She came from Sarasota County Animal Services because Animal Services is facing an overcrowding situation.

Tara can be outgoing and affectionate, but also rather strong. 

It's best to have Tara in a household with no children.

She knows commands like “sit”, and will be willing to learn more with love and patience.
