TAMPA BAY, FL — Looking for something to do this weekend in the Tampa Bay area? There’s something for every interest: Aquapalooza, a beach clean-up, women’s pro soccer tryouts, a Memorial Day Parade.

Clearwater Honor Fest

The Clearwater Honor Fest kicks off with a luncheon on Friday at noon. A Memorial Day Ceremony takes place at Coachman Park on Saturday at noon during a free music festival, which runs 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

SPCA Florida Run for Their Lives 5K

SPCA Florida’s Run for Their Lives 5K takes place Saturday, 7:30 a.m., at Peterson Park in Lakeland. Runners will not only enjoy a chip timed 5K race but will be saving lives with every step they take. A complimentary continental breakfast will be provided and an award ceremony will be conducted after the race.

Women’s Pro Soccer Tryouts

The Tampa Bay Sun FC, a new women’s professional soccer team in the area, will host its only open tryout Saturday in Auburndale. Advanced players ages 16 years old and up can show off their skills and try out at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Uptown Music & Arts Festival

This music and art festival takes place over Memorial Day weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 4 to 10 p.m., at Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Riverfront Park. The festival features performances by world-class and chart-topping contemporary jazz and R&B musicians and works by renowned artists.

Aquapalooza

Boaters will gather Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a party on the New Pass Sandbar in Sarasota. Enjoy live music and giveaways at this event hosted by Marine Max.

Friendly City Pride Festival & Market

The first-ever Friendly City Pride Festival takes place Sunday, 3 to 10 p.m., at Oscura in Bradenton. The event will feature inclusive artists, bands, performers, vendors, food trucks, speakers and more.

Here’s to America Concert

The Here’s to America Concert, featuring a performance by the Dunedin International Chorale, takes place Sunday, 6 p.m., at the Lawn at Pioneer Park in Dunedin. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Love It Like A Local Memorial Day Beach Clean-Up

The Bradenton Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, partnering with Keep Manatee Beautiful, hosts this second annual Memorial Day beach clean-up Monday, 9 to 11 a.m., at Coquina Beach. After the clean-up, snacks and refreshments will be served from 11 a.m. to noon.

Memorial Day Symphony

This salute to veterans at Anna Maria City Pier Park on Monday, 10 to 11:30 a.m., features the Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus & Orchestra.

Memorial Day Golf Tournament

Tarpon Woods Golf Club in Palm Harbor hosts a Memorial Day Golf Tournament on Monday. Cost is $75 per golfer and there is a 10 a.m. shotgun start. The event supports fallen soldiers and first responders.

Memorial Day Parade

The city of Sarasota and the Sarasota Patriotic Observance Committee hosts the annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, 10 a.m., in downtown Sarasota. The parade will start at Main Street and Osprey Avenue and conclude at Chaplain J.D. Hamel Park, located at Main Street and Gulfstream Avenue, where a ceremony will be held at approximately 11 a.m.

Bay Pines VA Memorial Day Ceremony

Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, Bay Pines National Cemetery and the St. Petersburg Regional VBA Office will co-host the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Bay Pines VA in the St. Petersburg area on Monday, 11 a.m. Guest speakers for the event include Bay Pines VA Healthcare System Director and CEO Paul M. Russo, St. Petersburg VA Regional Office Executive Director Juliana Boor, and Bay Pines National Cemetery Assistant Director Roberto Pizarro.
