Dog of the Week: Zoey
Zoey is this week's adoptable dog of the week from the Humane Society of Sarasota County.

Meet Zoey: a Chow mix lady, who is 9 years old and weighs just under 85 pounds.
Zoey was surrendered to HSSC because her previous family lost their home and had to move. Unfortunately, they were unable to take her with them.
Zoey is described as a calm girl who may be unsure in new situations, but once you get to know her she will show you just how affectionate she can be.

While Zoey's been at the shelter, she's shown everybody that she's easy to train.
The previous owner says that Zoey even knows how to stay if you say "Wait". She can do all the basic commands, like sit, down and come.

Zoey loves going for walks, but she likes just laying around, too. Zoey is pretty tolerant of other animals, but she won’t put up with rudeness – what lady would?
A household with children no younger than 12 years old will be best for Zoey.
Also, her previous owner said that she was potty trained at her place, so she'll be sure to catch on to a potty schedule in no time.
She's going to make someone a very nice companion, and she's also lived with cats so Zoey wouldn't mind living with them again.
