Motorcyclist Killed In Fruitville Road Crash: FL Highway Patrol
A driver was thrown from his motorcycle and died in a Thursday night crash in Sarasota County, FL Highway Patrol said.
SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — A motorcyclist was killed in a Thursday night crash in Sarasota County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The crash happened at the intersection of Fruitville Road and Paramount Drive just before 9 p.m.
A car was stopped in the driveway of 5577 Fruitville Road turned left in front of the motorcyclist, a 49-year-old Ellenton man, who was traveling west on the road in the center lane, FHP said.

The man was thrown from his motorcycle after hitting the back of the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car’s driver, a 35-year-old Sarasota man, suffered minor injuries in the crash, FHP said.
