UPDATE: 2 Suspects Attempt to Rob Wells Fargo Banks
Two different suspects attempted to rob Wells Fargo Banks just hours apart on Tamiami Trail.
UPDATE: A second man attempted to rob a Wells Fargo bank on Tamiami Trail just hours another one was reported at a Wells Fargo in South Sarasota.
Sarasota Police responded at 3:44 p.m. to the Wells Fargo at 2891 S.Tamiami for an attempted robbery, police said. The suspect presented a note during the robbery and left without any incident, police said.
The suspect was described as a possible Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, slender build, 23-25 years of age, possible braces along the bottom teeth, police said.

The suspect wore a very large colored polo shirt with burgundy, blue and tan stripes, police said. The suspect was also wearing a Dallas Cowboy’s hat.

EARLIER: The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help to identify a suspect in the attempted arm robbery today at , 8595 South Tamiami Trail.
The suspect walked into the branch at 12:42 p.m., showed the teller the butt of a black handgun and pointed to the cash drawer, deputies said. He apparently got nervous and fled the bank, heading westbound on foot across U.S. 41 toward the store there, deputies said.
The suspect is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, approximately 160 pounds, slim build and pale skin. It appears he recently dyed his hair a whitish-blonde color, deputies said. The suspect also wore black wraparound mirrored sunglasses, a faded denim jacket and light colored jeans.
