What's the Worst Song to Hear on a Boat?

Sarasota loves to boat, but "Sailing" doesn't take me away where I've always heard it could be.

There's plenty of down time, from dock to dock or port to port, and everyone likes to have a good time.

It starts with one cocktail to get the voyage started, and by midsail you're not sure if your friend is trying to captain the ship or is Captain Morgan himself.

Then someone ruins it, because "Hey, aren't we on this boat for three hours?" Doesn't it make this a three-hour tour?"

Yes, yes. I know you know the "Gilligan's Island" theme song. Fortunately, we're a life preserver short on this ride.

Celine Dion plus the "Titanic" pose on the bow? That ring isn't the only thing being thrown in the ocean. (Sadly, this scene and pop culture reference will be relevant again as "Titanic" returns in April to theaters —14 years later — to be experienced in IMAX 3D.)

There's some quality out there, but not everybody likes "Downeaster Alexa" by Billy Joel or the feint of heart may be startled by the language in "I'm on a Boat."
