Weekend Events: 'Aretha,' Tiny Hands and Lights in Bloom
"Love, Sung in the Key of Aretha" opens Friday while those looking for a volunteer opportunity can join the Tiny Hands Foundation on Saturday.

2. The g as the organization tries to deliver baskets to 1,600 families in Sarasota filled with a holiday meal and toys and books. Volunteers can show up at 9 a.m., Dec. 17, at the Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota, 3100 Fruitville Road, to help wrap baskets and deliver them to families in need. 3. The lights are back at this weekend as Lights in Bloom returns. The Holiday Splendor Showhouse is included in the price of admission to the Gardens. The Showhouse will also be open to the public during Lights in Bloom on during the evenings starting Saturday through Dec. 23 and on the Dec. 26 and Dec. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. Lights in Bloom costs $14 for adults; $12 for members; children 11 and under enter free.
4. The Towles Court Artist Community hosts its from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday. The walk is located at Adams Lane and South Links Avenue. Features music, refreshments and admission is free.

5. will host a duo of nationally known acts this weekend. Comedian Sinbad will do stand-up at 8 p.m. Friday while saxophonist Kenny G plays his holiday concert at 8 p.m. Saturday. Kenny's concert was rescheduled from Tuesday to Saturday and any tickets purchased for the Dec. 20 concert can be used for Saturday's concert. For more information, call 941-953-3368.
